Whose Sauce is This?

It has been a while since I’ve done an article so let me get right into it. In my last article I featured an artist by the name of Lokei who specialized in heart break music. So, why not continue with another artist that specializes in this.

Dose Daily also known as Chicago native Darion Radcliff. Being from Chicago allows  Dose Daily’s ideas to become his mild sauce. Why would I mention mild sauce? I mention this because he believes his process of creating is like making mild sauce. To him making mild sauce means being able to mix one talent (Ketchup), with another talent (hot sauce), and lastly a secret special talent (bbq sauce)  to create a project that is like no other. This is what makes Dose Daily different because he doesn’t get lost in the sauce he simply makes his own. Though he has his own sauce he still has artists that influence the type of music he makes. These influencers are Juice Wrld, Billie Ellish, and Trippie Redd. Before I knew who his influencers were I listened to his music. At first I asked myself was this some old Juice Wrld that was never released but I quickly came to realize that this was Dose Daily. Though he does have a style like Juice Wrld he gives off his own message and sauce because no two artists are completely the same.

Before Dose Daily was even thought of Darion Radcliff was a baseball player on the rise until something told him to focus on his journey as an artist. This journey has just obtained its fuel with his two songs “Vicky Back” and “Don’t Wake Me Up.” These two songs are just the start of Dose Daily releasing his pain from his past and focusing on the light. Sharing his music and his story gives him a sense of hope and something worth living for.  Starting out Dose Daily has faced many obstacles that caused him to step out of his box but making the music video to “Don’t Wake Me Up” was the one project that made him nervous. Making this music video made him nervous because he wasn’t used to it. Which causes me to say that as an artist it is extremely important to get out of your comfort zone because if you don’t you will always ask, “what if?” While using his music to get out of his comfort zone he wants his listeners to get out of their comfort zone by understanding the message in his music. The message he portrays is to treat others with kindness and love because it will help the world be a better place. Although his music comes from a place of being in pain you can hear this in his song “Vicky Back.” “Vick Back” as a whole gives off positive vibes.

Because Dose Daily is a new artist I do have some advice for him and all artists. This advice is to keep creating and continue to turn your pain into something beautiful that will reach people. Not only that but keep creating for yourself because you’re all you have at the end of the day when you’re in your room alone. If you are worried about the views don’t worry. I repeat DO NOT WORRY! I cannot stress this enough because the views will come as long you are doing what you love, that's all that matters. To watch this advice come to life you can follow Dose Daily on instagram and twitter @_dosedaily_ .
